Andrea Bianchi lives in Chicago. She earned a Creative Writing Certificate from Northwestern University, and she is a nonfiction MFA+MA candidate in the Litowitz Creative Writing Graduate Program at Northwestern University.Her writing was listed as a Notable Essay in The Best American Essays 2021, and her nonfiction was selected for the Eastern Iowa Review: Best Lyric Prose Plus Anthology.Her writing has also been nominated for Best of the Net and named as a finalist in various contests, including Witness magazine’s 2020 literary awards, Hunger Mountain’s 2021 Creative Nonfiction Prize, and New Ohio Review's Nonfiction Prize in both 2021 and 2022.When she isn't writing, Andrea is reading essays on the balcony with her cat, visiting art museums, eating mint-chocolate cookies, attempting yoga poses, and drafting notes for a memoir about the aftereffects of her homeschooled childhood.
